Finally something is going in the right direction...
Our battery installation was completed today, thanks to a very nice technician at the marina named Joseph. The girls know Joseph on a first name basis and happily say good morning to him every day now. Joel and Joseph have worked over the past 4 days to conquer this mammoth task and it now it sits beneath the bench seat I type on, charging away. Hooray!
Here is a picture for those of you who will appreciate the difficulty of this technical project.
By the way, each of the batteries takes 2 men to lift, and there are 3! There was quite a lot of measuring and remeasuring the make sure the batteries would fit they way they do and it wasn't without a little modifications here and there. On day 1 of work Joseph took to some joinery work with a crowbar- needless to see he was confident in his work, thankfully all went well. Next up tomorrow: solar panels and wind generator install.
