This is just a quick post to say we arrived in Noumea last Sunday and have been staying at a marina for most of the week. We are heading out today to see the Isle of Pines and will depart for Australia on Monday most likely.
Our time in Noumea has been spent enjoying city life and day to day errands. Times flies!
We had a great surprise one day when a knock on our boat revealed our friends Morgan and Cheryl, who we first met in Marquesas, and saw again in Tahiti. They had flown out from New Zealand to see a relative and it was just a fluke they saw our boat in the marina! Great timing. It's been great to catch up again and share a few drinks.
A mini-carnival for small children across the road has kept the girls enthralled during the evenings. A few afternoons of scootering, a trip to the aquarium plus a few ice cream stops and our week has been busy! It's time to hit the beaches and islands of this beautiful place.
I hope to update again with pictures and more stories of our weekend at Isle de Pines, but this won't happen until we are tucked up nicely in a marina in Australia, which should be by next weekend, can you believe it! So until then, we want to thank you again for reading our blog and hope to hear from you soon.
