With all our boxes on board, today was the day to start the 'to do' list.
Joel has begun netting the entire boat so little people have less chance of escaping, and I have begun to wash all the new galley items so they can be used. You might think I could just get that done in one hit, but with only a dishwasher named Tanya, and Mummy to some, and a small collapsible dish rack, these things need to be done in stages.
I'm having thoughts of regret with a few purchases - why did I think we would need a set of 8 tumblers, and another set of 8 glasses. If we wash up after every meal, we will always have 16 drinking vessels, not necessary for 4 people, even with guests aboard! Never mind - to the storage room, oh yes - that's full with boxes!
Went for a walk today with the girls to encourage a nap and saw the image at the dingy dock. I would hate to be trying to leave in a hurry. We will have to bare this kind of situation in mind if we find ourselves tying up to a dingy dock first, it might mean we're in for a very long day ashore!
I did make it to the supermarket today. One child, with pram in tow - the pram was so I could wheel it all back. It was great to be able to get most things that I was looking for in one place. It was interesting that all the refrigerated foods were in a different section of the shop, which was sooo chilly. Gracie complained the whole time that she was cold while I looked for fruit and dairy products that we'd been missing. I'll be back again in a few days to get more I'm sure. They also have a Cost u Less here in USVI (we had one in Cayman, a bulk supermarket) so I'll be seeking that out when I start to provision for our leaving day.
