Not a lot to note today, except we are still tied up to a dock.
Joel had a rigger onboard most of the day getting various jobs done. He'll be back first thing in the morning apparently.
Our transom is hopefully being returned tomorrow too. That will make playing in the cockpit a little safer and our boat that bit more recognizable with its name back.
Michel, our Hanse dealer has been working tirelessly to keep things on track for us here in the marina. He always pops by with an update on work to be done or who he is chasing to get jobs finished. The girls fondly day 'hello a shell' each day to him. We are grateful for the help he has given us with over the past weeks, as without it we may have become permanent residents of Nanny Cay marina.
Took the girls to a play area with swings this morning, which they were delighted about. Unfortunately for Gracie the trampoline was closed for repair, thank goodness I thought. A bite to eat and they were snoozing in the pram on the walk back. This gave me the opportunity to swim in the pool alone for the first time- sheer delight!
Spoke with a few locals here today, expats mostly. Seems island life here is much like Cayman, not easy to get what you want all the time etc. I do think we had it pretty good in Cayman though- so the next time you are shopping in fosters wondering which cheese to buy, Greek yogurt to choose or cut of meat to cook for dinner think of me and the decision whether to choose the mechanically prepared ground chicken in a large sausage wrap or go without!
